I *love* the last one, with the kids laughing and goofing around! A picture of all three youngsters that relaxed, happy and real -- with all of their faces visible -- is something a "professional" photographer could spend two hours trying to capture (and still probably would never get). It's the real thing, and 20 years from now, it's how they'll still look in your memory ... because really, when it's time to look back, how many parents picture their kids sitting stiff and prim in their Sunday best with fake smiles pasted on their faces?

The trouble with the thumbnails is they tend to cut off things but the larger photos take longer to download.

It can be exasperating when I'm after the "perfect" photo but you all are right that "perfect" can mean different things. Their personalities show through and it's fun to see the real laughs. (I can say that now, after a few days have passed!)

So Gramma, which one do you want blown up for your wall? LOL!

I love them all! I can just see them trying to be serious and posed in varying degrees and at least one of them goofing off or being annoyed after more than one posed shot that just wasn't quite right. The sequence is great! Gramma Murphy

I didn't realize the last one showed all three, when i clicked on it then I saw that Pixie wasn't cut off as I assumed. I like that one as well. Is it a little blurry especially on Sunshine, or am I just still waking up?

I like the last one best. Lighten it a little. I like the angle so might crop a bit, but not a lot, and certainly not to center them.

Granted, I've never met them, and I'm sure Liesel has, so perhaps the personality comes through best in the first ... I just like the honest laughs. :)

LOL This reminds me of when I always try, and hope, to get good pics of my kids sitting in front of the Christmas tree every year. Never did get a good shot. But you know something? When I look back at those pictures now they are priceless! The kids are not perfectly posed, wearing perfect smiles. They are acting completely normal and natural the way they act every day and it's wonderful seeing those pictures just as they are! No posed pics could ever take the place of ones in which they're making their funny little faces and goofing off. :-)
