Hi Mike! I don't believe we've ever met you, but we know your lovely bride from back in those days at MV (Char and I worked for KN's dad, and my mother lives just up the road in DN). We now live up the freeway from you a couple of hundred miles (or so). Small world, eh? :)

I loved the horn gag. Never saw it done before that day, but quickly realized how easily it could be accomplished. I'll have to store that one away for future reference. If. I. can. remember. (my 'RAM' is far *too* random, and my 'ROM' seems to be full and has frequent errors!)

Take care!

Ha! Just browsing around and found this site. I'm the guy "kn" was talking about. My dad ran a wire from the back light from the trunk to the positive on the horn, so that when I tapped the breaks it honked. Took me a while to find, but yes, KN (and I know who you are ;) ) is right, we've been married for 12 years now. Now I just laugh. :) It was great. beep beep beep

Hick!?!?!? Who is calling whom a "hick"? (and did I just expose myself by incorrect use of "whom" and "who"?) :-)

It's the diabolical plan of a mischievous person who is mechanically inclined and probably has too much time on his hands. I think I heard that it was the Father of the Bride who has used this trick in the past but I am not sure who actually did the deed this time. I also heard he once hooked up the lights to the horn so it didn't start until later- and then the Groom couldn't figure out how to undo it. So that one didn't go over very well.

I'm glad you all heard about it after I am safely married (for almost 18 long....hard...years)

I love the horn/brake connection too. I told Stac about it and he said he has two couples getting married next Spring/Summer in mind for that gag. How smart of who ever did it!

Hahahaha! Horn connected to the brake...that's brilliant! I've never seen or heard of that before. Sounds totally like a "hick" wedding gag, am I wrong?

Both, of course! Our friend Jody (now of Las Vegas Of All Places) has taken a scad of community college classes and now does photography in addition to being a half-time teacher. More at www.raelphotography.com.

Re. the horn-brake connection: I think it's a good omen. The first time I saw that was at these folks' wedding -- www.thehedmans.net -- and nothing but good has come of that union.

I'm starting to think I need a Web site of my own. (Don't hold your breath unless you intend to immediately go to glory.)
