Life with three kids, five acres, a dog and only two, semi-sane adults. (...the nervous twitch is barely perceptible!)

Oddly, in our family, it was only the youngest who ever showed interest in any type of toy gun (that is, once we were past the cowboys-and-Indians thing with the neighbors, with most events transpiring in their chicken house) and she skipped straight to BBs. Go ahead -- ask my mom sometime how she feels about toy or toy-ish guns. She agrees with you!

Funny thing on that first baby business. It's a lot of work, right down to having to wallpaper the closet. For real. Also there's a lot of grin-and-nod. A co-worker (male) this morning suggested home birth (illegal in my state). Another former co-worker (who only left us a week ago) and her husband were done with children at three, but now are (surprise) expecting twins. I suspect Nos. 4 and 5 will be their version of a lot of work, especially since No. 3 is still in diapers.

And as a postscript, I returned to contacts after several (maybe seven?) years of just glasses, and got three comments. I guess I'm marginally ahead of you, with marginally being the keyword.
